1,200 residents of Agusan del Sur benefit from Cayetano-DSWD partnership

A total of 1,200 residents of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, among them senior citizens and community development workers such as Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), received essential aid from the offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano on June 15, 2024.

This was part of the Cayetano siblings’ implementation of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), a key government initiative they collaborate with in their ongoing outreach activities across the country.

The distribution event was coordinated with Agusan del Sur 1st District Representative Alfelito ‘Alfel’ Bascug and 2nd District Representative Adolph Edward ‘Eddiebong’ Plaza, who expressed their gratitude to the senators on behalf of the beneficiaries.

In addition to their efforts in Agusan del Sur, the senators’ offices also extended aid to communities in Bacolod, Silay, and Lumban, Laguna during the same week.

These initiatives are part of the Cayetanos’ sustained efforts to support marginalized communities nationwide. They work closely with government agencies and local units to ensure that Filipinos in need receive the necessary assistance.
