The covered court of Barangay Poblacion in Corcuera, Romblon was abuzz with excitement on Monday, July 8, 2024, as the offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano extended help to the province’s 150 poorest of the poor families.
Initiated through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD SLP), the Cayetano team partnered with Corcuera Mayor Elmer Fruelda and Vice Mayor Apple Fondevilla in providing lifelines for those most in need.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to improve their livelihood and provide better futures for their families.
Encouraging messages were given to them as well by the Cayetano team and DSWD and local officials.
Romblon is one of the remote provinces that the Cayetanos visited this year, underscoring their commitment to building communities and supporting vulnerable sectors across the nation. ###
