Cayetanos’ livelihood aid empowers 500 health workers, women in Angeles City

Five hundred women and health workers were empowered through the livelihood aid provided by the offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano on June 17, 2024 in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The senator siblings accomplished this in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DCWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, along with the city government of Angeles.

Senator Pia Cayetano, a known women’s rights advocate, initiated the livelihood distribution to the beneficiaries to help them in their small businesses, daily expenses, and other needs.

Together with the Cayetano team, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, through his representative Councilor Arvin Suller, gave a message on behalf of the city government and the senator siblings at the city’s Marquee Mall.

Angeles City is one of the places visited by the Cayetano team this week. Recently, they also extended various kinds of assistance to communities in Bacolor, Pampanga, Bacolod City, Silay City, and in the Municipality of San Francisco in Agusan del Sur.

Before the legislative session resumes on July 22, the Cayetano team will continue its provincial visits to help build communities nationwide.
