Senator Alan Peter Cayetano on Friday night called on the Taguigeño youth to dream big and aspire for greatness for the City of Taguig, much like he and his peers did three decades ago.
“Dream big so that we can build Taguig together,” Cayetano told the packed audience at the Taguig Music Festival, one of the highlights of the city’s week-long 437th Founding Anniversary celebration.
“Dream big, ating mga kabataan — ang ating kinabukasan, ang ating hope for the future,” he added, eliciting cheers from the crowd gathered at the TLC Park in Lakeshore.
Cayetano, who started in politics three decades ago as one of the youngest councilors in the country at age 21, reflected on the progress of Taguig over the past 30 years.
He urged the Taguig youth to seek divine guidance in their aspirations for the city. “Tanungin natin si Lord, ‘What’s your vision for Taguig?’ Pero sana magkaisa tayong lahat,” he said.
Cayetano also cited the need for community partnership for issues like substance abuse and unemployment.
Cayetano ended his message by urging everyone to unite under their beloved city. “Kailangan magkaisa tayo lahat. Suportahan natin ang talento ng Taguig,” he said.
