Through Pinay In Action, Senator Pia S. Cayetano promotes her advocacy to empower women and girls through fitness and sports, and create awareness on maternal and child health. She supports children with special needs and those under difficult circumstances through Gabriel’s Symphony Foundation. Sustainable transportation, fitness, and care for the environment are the hallmarks of Bike for Hope. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Senator Pia started Pilipinas In Action to mobilize the ‘bayanihan’ spirit to provide assistance to our health workers, economic frontliners, and the most vulnerable sectors.
PINAY IN ACTION
Pinay In Action (PIA) is Pia S. Cayetano’s advocacy arm that seeks to empower women and girls through health, sports and fitness. PIA conducts sports clinics and events, seminars on maternal and child health and other related activities in partnership with local governments, health advocates and sports associations.
Gabriel’s Symphony Foundation
A non-stock, non-profit corporation set up in 2001, the foundation is named after Gabriel, Pia S. Cayetano’s son who passed away at the tender age of 9 months due to a rare chromosomal disorder. GSF’s main goal is to make a difference in the lives of differently abled children, and those living under difficult circumstances.
Pilipinas in Action
Started at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pilipinas In Action mobilized support for the sectors that kept our communities safe and our economy moving despite the lockdowns – from our health professionals, to community workers and volunteers, and economic fronliners. Pilipinas In Action also assisted marginalized groups and communities.
