In recognition of their hard work, Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano provided livelihood assistance to 30 officers and 500 members of the Pinyahan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (PinTODA) in Quezon City on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
The beneficiaries received livelihood assistance to diversify their income sources beyond their usual “pasada” operations.
The senators’ office collaborated with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through its Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), assisted by DOLE Quezon City Labor Employment Officer Bella Lope, together with the support of their local Presyo, Trabaho, Kita/Kaayusan (PTK) President Sonny Agustin.
“Kami po ay lubusang nagpapasalamat sa inyo dahil napili niyo po ang organisasyon namin na bigyan ng pangkabuhayan,” Agustin said.
Designed to uplift the lives of marginalized and vulnerable workers in the Philippines, the DILP — also known as the “Kabuhayan Program” — aims to broaden economic opportunities for these workers by offering assistance for entrepreneurial ventures.
The sibling senators remain committed in providing essential assistance to Filipinos nationwide, enhancing their livelihoods, and expanding their economic opportunities.
