In another outreach effort to the Province of Batangas, the offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano provided aid to an additional 1,006 residents on June 18, 2024.
Through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the sibling senators brought medical, burial, educational, and financial aid closer to Batangueños in need.
The disbursement was successfully carried out at Bauan Coliseum, with the assistance of former Batangas 2nd District Representative Raneo Abu.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the senators’ support and shared how they plan to use the assistance received.
“Magagamit ko po itong tulong sa aking pag-aaral lalo na at graduating na po ako at maraming bayarin sa school,” said Alvin Joseph Pascual, a college student from San Pascual.
“Ako po ay diabetic at mayroon akong maintenance na kailangan bilihin every month. Salamat po at nandiyan si Senator Alan at Senator Pia para sa amin,” said Merlina Puri, also a resident of San Pascual.
The continued efforts of Senators Alan and Pia highlight their commitment to supporting marginalized communities in Batangas. Earlier this month, the Cayetanos, together with the DSWD and Abu, also assisted 1,082 residents.
Through collaboration with government programs and local authorities, the Cayetanos remain steadfast in their mission to provide essential aid to Filipinos in need nationwide.
