To further boost their income and widen their economic opportunities, a total of 666 beneficiaries received livelihood assistance from the offices of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano.
On May 27, 2024, the offices of the sibling senators visited Floridablanca, Pampanga to extend support to Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and women’s groups.
The livelihood aid was timely as it could bolster the recipients’ income and help them start small businesses for more stable earnings.
This assistance is a partnership between the sibling senators and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
AICS aims to support individuals in difficult situations by offering various types of assistance tailored to their specific needs, helping them recover from these challenges.
The program provides different kinds of help, including education, food, transportation, medical, burial, and cash assistance.
The effort and full participation of local governments, alongside Vice Mayor Mike Galang, Councilors Mark Mendoza, Jacob Fajardo, Joshua Simbillio, Ranny Casupanan, and Barangay Captain Ana Marie Galang, played important roles in the success of the activity.
This was not the first time the Cayetano siblings have visited Pampanga. Recently, they also provided essential livelihood aid to residents of Lubao, Sasmuan, Guagua, and Sta. Rita.
As part of their commitment to widening opportunities for Filipinos, the Cayetano siblings continue to visit various cities nationwide to provide livelihood programs that help individuals enhance their income and meet their daily necessities.
