An Act Creating the Department of Filipinos Overseas and Foreign Employment, Defining Its Mandate, Powers, and Functions, Appropriating Funds Therefor

This bill creates the Department of Overseas and Foreign Employment, the primary agency tasked to protect the rights and promote the welfare of Filipino Overseas. This bill also transfers the Following agencies and functions to the Department: a) Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, b) Commission on Filipino Overseas, c) all Department of Labor and Employment-Philippine Overseas Labor Offices, d) DOLE-International Labor Affairs Bureau, e) Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, and f) Department of Social Welfare and Development-International Social Services Office.
