After her husband Oscar Dueñas was selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Sampung Libong Pag-asa on July 16, 2021, Susset Catimbang invested part of the P10,000 cash assistance in the family’s small siomai and snack business. The stall outside their home in Barangay Napindan in Taguig City now earns at least P500 a day and helps ensure that the family can recover from the effects of the pandemic.
The amount also helped the family pay their rent and settle their electricity and water bills. There was even a little left over that Susset was able to save in her husband’s bank account for emergencies.
