On Mother’s Day, Kuya Alan and Ate Pia remind public to respect mothers

“Ang tanong ninyo ay legal eh, pero ang tingin ko ang solusyon ay moral at relationship.”

Senator Alan Peter “Compañero” S. Cayetano has this to say as the legal advice show ‘Cayetano in Action with Boy Abunda’ (CIA with BA) kicks off its first case for the show’s second season.

CIA with BA, which Senator Alan co-hosts with Senator Pia Cayetano and King of Talk Boy Abunda, will take up a mother-daughter conflict that has worsened due to a debt issue on the evening of Mother’s Day, May 14.

However, as the Cayetanos talk about the case, they sense that more than legal issues, what needs to be uprooted between the mother and daughter are misunderstandings from years back.

Because of the sensitivity of the case, Senator Pia Cayetano takes the opportunity to remind the viewing public to give respect to mothers despite any relational dysfunction.

“Walang nanay na perfect,” the senator says as a mom herself.

To which Senator Alan adds, “The most imperfect mother still needs the respect of her child.”

According to Senator Alan, CIA with BA is an “evolution” of “Compañero y Compañera,” a radio and television program hosted by their late father Senator Rene Cayetano which aired from 1997 to 2001.

For Senator Pia, the show’s purpose is “to explain to the viewers what your rights are.”
